Don't worry, eat happy

Splendid And Timeless Design

Are you stressed out? Always worried? Overthinking? Anxiety can have long term serious consequences on your health. It can cause depression or other mental health disorders, substance misuse, insomnia, digestive or bowel problems, headaches and chronic pain, social isolation, problems at school or work and generally lead to a poor quality of life.

But worry not. Hope is not lost. Along with lifestyle changes, certain foods, when included in your diet can help reduce your anxiety to a great extent. They are:

Eggs

Eggs contain tryptophan, an amino acid that aids the production of serotonin, a chemical neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood, sleep, memory, and behavior to improve brain function and relieve anxiety.

Fatty Fish

Fish like Salmon, Mackerel, Herring, Trout, and Sardines are rich in Omega-3, which generates fatty acids that regulate the neurotransmitters in our brain improving mood and brain function.

Pumpkin seeds

Though not conclusively proved, pumpkin seeds are rich in potassium and zinc, minerals that may be responsible for regulating emotions and improving mood.

Brazil nuts

Brazil nuts are a good source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that reduces anxiety. In fact, low levels of vitamin E have been shown to increase depression. So Brazil nuts can help reduce anxiety. The recommended dose is four nuts a day and not more because Brazil nuts contain Selenium, too much of which is not good for the human body.

Chamomile

Safe to drink in high volumes, Chamomile tea is rich in flavonoids, which have anti-inflammatory and anxiety reducing properties.

Green Tea

Green Tea can nicely replace coffee, carbonated drinks or alcoholic beverages. It contains an amino acid called Theanine, which has anti-anxiety and calming effects and may increase the production of serotonin and dopamine, as researchers have surmised.

Turmeric

The active ingredient in the yellow colored Asian spice called Turmeric is Curcumin, which may help lower anxiety by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress that has been found to increase in people, who suffer from mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression.

Yogurt

Research suggests that Yogurt contains fermented bacteria, which has been found to have positive effects on brain health.

Dark Chocolate

1 to 3 servings of dark chocolate a day may be good for alleviating anxiety. Dark Chocolate contains tryptophan, and magnesium both of which aid cognitive development and improve mood.

The Mindful Moon Lamp also helps you calm down by emitting soft white light that is easy on the eyes and perfect for bedtime relaxation. Made with superior 3D printing technology, it replicates the surface of the moon in both size and texture.

The lamp has a levitating moon feature positioned above a modern wooden base. It creates the atmosphere of a galactic wonderland to help you unwind at the end of a long hard day.
